KCKA Soccer Academy: Safeguarding Policy

1. Our Commitment
KCKA Soccer Academy believes that every child, regardless of age, gender, or background,
has the right to play soccer in a fun, safe, and inclusive environment.
We have a zero-tolerance policy for any form of abuse, bullying, or exploitation.
2. Rules for Coaches & Staff
- The "Rule of Two": No coach should ever be alone in a private place with a single child. There must always be at least two adults or a group present.
- Professional Boundaries: Communication must remain professional and focused on football and development.
- Positive Coaching: No physical punishment, shaming, or insulting language is allowed.
- Physical Contact: Only safe contact like high-fives or public demonstrations is permitted.
3. Protection of Girls and Boys
- Privacy: Separate changing spaces must be provided where applicable.
- Equality: Equal respect, coaching, and equipment for all players.
- Respectful Language: No comments about a player's body or appearance.
4. Health and Physical Safety
- Pitch Check: Coaches must inspect the field for hazards before training.
- First Aid: A basic first aid kit must be available at every session.
- Hydration: Players must have regular water breaks.
5. Reporting Concerns
If a child, parent, or coach feels unsafe or observes inappropriate behavior,
they must report it immediately to the Academy Director.
All reports will be taken seriously and handled confidentially.
Any coach who violates safeguarding rules will be suspended immediately
while investigations are carried out.
